VIDEO: Don Jazzy Talks D'Banj, Feud With Olamide And More On "My Worst Day With Peace Hyde" | Forbes Africa TV
Supreme Mavin Dynasty general, Don Jazzy was the guest artist for the Forbes Africa TV program dubbed "My Worst Day with Peace Hyde" to answer some of the questions many of us would love to ask him.
First profound question on the interview was on his reaction at the 2015 Headies Award held on 1st January 2016, why he reacted in such manner. For him, it is simply because of his love for his Artistes, especially the trio (Di'ja, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello).
"I learnt a lesson about anger, I don’t really get angry like that. At that particular point, I was angry and emotional about my kids. You have to understand there’s no greater love than the love of a father for his children,“I think that’s the way people should know the amount of love i have for whoever is working for me. Especially those three. I guess I was weak, I was upset, spoke out of tongue. I’m sorry to my fans that expected better from me," - He said.
He also revealed how he later made peace with the YBNL supremo, Olamide after the altercation.
"That’s the beauty about adults. In two seconds after saying all that I regretted my actions. I realised that he did too and we got along. We didn’t want it to escalate."
The Forbes second Richest African Artist, Don Baba J as fondly called, also talked about his worst ever day in business. To him, partying ways with D'Banj is definitely that worst moment in his career and likewise business.
"The decision for myself and my former partner, Dbanj to pursue different path at that point was not the right decision because it led to a lot of things. ‘Apart from the financial loses, I also lost a friend and brother in D’banj."
