Don Jazzy have moved to defend his new artist, Iyanya on his decision to join the Mavin family.
After announcing the signing of the already established popstar to his Mavin records, many people kicked against the move by the Kukere master, including me, regarding his decision unprecedented and purely mediocre.
Just as usual, always ready to support his artist, the Mavin CEO have come for his artist defense as he claimed Iyanya's decision is the greatest decision one could ever make.
"Let's learn dat not all artist must own a label. 1 will suffer. D business or d music. Iyanya made a great decision and earns my respect," - Don Jazzy.
The Boss went on to reveal the main reason why he signed the popstar to his record label.
"From the first time I stepped into the studio with him, there was an instant chemistry and energy. He is an amazing talent and he has great musical versatility.
"This is an exciting time for us and our fans have a lot of great music to look forward to. Iyanya brings his own unique style and sound to the Mavin Records family."
Reports have it that the signing of Iyanya to Mavin Records was inspired by the new management company the singer signed to after partying ways with Ubi Franklin's Triple MG. Temple Management Company is a creative talent agency, whose sole aim is to aid the singer in launching a new phase in his career and joining Supreme Mavin Dynasty make way for such.
Speaking on the deal, Iyanya had this to say; "I am at a decision-making curve in my music career where I have to make the right professional and creative decisions. At this point, I realised the need to put in solid structures in place to move to the next level of my career.
"I think I have found that professional and creative backbone in Mavin Records."
We wish the birthday man all the best in his new found musical haven.
