One of Canadian finest singer, Abél Makkonen Tesfaye, known professionally as The Weeknd, have ushered in his third studio album which started trending prior to the release of the rather controversial title and artwork for the project.
"Starboy" as the title takes housed a total of 18-tracks, lead by his hit single with daft Punk, a track with same name as the album title "Starboy". The album tracks is more or less a solo album as the singer only featured four artist in the project, which includes Daft Punk double features in "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming", Kendrick Lamar in "Sidewalks", Future in "All I Know" and then Lana Del Rey in "Stargirl (interlude)".
The new project by Starboy The Weeknd is projected to top the list of album charts, Streaming and top sales, for the first week and possibly the second week of sales. This is feasible since there ain't any major project from industry top stars to compete with the multi award winning Canadian star.
Even though the album is believed not to be able to top the success he achieved in his sophomore album "Beauty Behind the Madness" released last year, the album is predicted to sale within 350-400K in equivalent albums (including streaming) in its first week and traditionally, for about 225-275K sales for the first week. Accordingly, the album is expected to debut with massive streaming numbers, with reports of considerable streaming success on Spotify's songs chart.
